A travel guide through Ecuador

FELIPE restaurante boutique

First, when you enter the place, there is a boutique where Felipe offers a variaty of cook books, handmade chocolates, and even chef's clothing. Then you go upstairs and face the entire kitchen, completly visible from where you eat and where Felipe is always working on new creations.

The ambiance is modern and pleasant, with a max capacity of 20 (up to 50 with pre-booking), everything is pleasant, not only in your plates but in the decor composed around 3 colors : Chocolate, gold and white. There is a real attention to details and the menu frequently changes as Felipe introduces new tastes and textures, using his traditional cookware and stones, and brings to your palates a fusion between Ecuadorian and international cuisine.

We've known Felipe for a long time now,

he's been the chef at Samari before starting his own restaurant in Riobamba.

He has always been very passionnate about his cooking, he even published a cook book in Ecuador with numerous receipies.

He has imagination, a modern touch but stays close to his roots and the traditions, using clay cooking pots, volcanic stones,...

Well it is always a pleasure to see him and to eat his new creations.
